Man Gets Hit by Car then Jumps Out of Ambulance While on the Way to the Hospital

On August 27, 2022 at approximately 01:30 hours Boston EMS and Boston Police officers from District B-3 responded to a 911 call that a pedestrian was struck by a car on Blue Hill Avenue near Franklin Field.

When first responders arrived on scene, EMTs quickly loaded the highly intoxicated and injured man into an ambulance so he could receive further treatment and transport to an area hospital. While in route to the hospital, the pedestrian jumped out of the back of the ambulance and fled on foot.

He was later found on Blue Hill Avenue by Boston Police officers at approximately 03:00 hours. The man had serious, but not life threatening injuries, including open bone fractures in his elbow and finger.

After he was located, officers and EMTs got him back into an ambulance. He was successfully transported to the hospital without further incident. At this time, no further information is available.
