At about 8:07 PM on Thursday, July 28, 2022, Officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force made an on-site arrest of Kyshawn Malone in the area of Fenwick Place in Roxbury.

Officers were on directed patrol in the area of Washington Street when they observed a group in the area of Crispus Attucks Place. Officers noted that as they entered the area of Crispus Attucks Place, a member of the group immediately separated and walked away at a hurried pace.

As officers got close to Malone, they observed a bulge in his waistband area. When asked what was in his waistband, Malone placed his hands in a position for the Officer to place handcuffs on him without making any statement. A subsequent pat-frisk revealed a loaded firearm.

The firearm was determined to be a .45 Caliber loaded with six (6) rounds in the magazine and one (1) round in the chamber.
Kyshawn Malone is to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Carrying a Loaded Firearm, and Trespassing.
