Gang Unit Arrests Repeat Gun Offender and Career Criminal In Roxbury

At about 12:58 PM on Saturday July 30, 2022, members of the BPD Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Jacques Flowers, 34, of Roxbury on firearm related charges in the area of Washington Street and Ruggles Street in Roxbury.

Based on information gathered from an ongoing firearm investigation, the officers stopped the suspect and performed a pat frisk, leading to the recovery of a loaded .25 caliber Raven Arms P-25 handgun from inside the suspect’s pocket.

The suspect was placed in custody and will appear in Roxbury District Court on charges of Unlawful Possession of a Firearm (2nd and Subsequent Offense), Unlawful Possession of Ammunition (Subsequent Offense), Carrying a Loaded Firearm, Armed Career Criminal (Level 3) and Habitual Criminal – Penalty Enhancement. Flowers was convicted of firearm charges in 2008.
