Man Shot Twice in Mattapan Wednesday

On Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at approximately 20:00 hours, Boston EMS and Boston Police officers from District B-3 responded to a Shotspotter activation for gunfire in the area of West Seldon Street in Mattapan.

When first responders arrived, they discovered a male victim who had been shot twice in the leg. The victim had been at this location a week prior to this incident during a different shooting incident, according to sources at the scene.

EMTs swiftly loaded the shooting victim into an ambulance to receive treatment and transport at a local area hospital. The victim’s injuries are considered serious but non-life threatening.

Police are still investigating this incident and no arrests have been made at this time. Detectives from District B-3 are actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident. Any individuals with information can contact District B-3 Detectives at 617-343-4712
