On Monday, September 5, 2022, Vice President Kamala Harris visited Boston to participate in some of the celebrations. As public safety is a primary concern during these events, many first responders were spotted in the city.
When the Vice President landed, Boston Police officers, along with K-9 units and the Secret Service were seen watching over her arrival. Luckily, she was able to enter the city safely.
The Vice President later met with Massachusetts labor leaders and made a speech to the public. She emphasized the importance of unions in America, and how they are what makes this country strong. According to sources, she met with plumbers and electrical workers to improve infrastructure in the city.
Parking around the city was limited during the Vice President’s visit. Overall, the city remained safe and she left around 13:00 hours.
