Boston Police and Massachusetts State Police Gang Unit Arrest Suspect in Possession of a Firearm

At about 3:55 PM, on Thursday, June 16, 2022, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force, along with the Massachusetts State Police, conducted a traffic stop in the area of 360 Walnut Avenue in Roxbury, resulting in the firearm arrest of Sedric Jackson, 20, of Roslindale.

Officers observed a motor vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in a school zone and activated their lights and sirens to initiate a traffic stop. As a result of the traffic stop, officers recovered a 9mm firearm from Jackson’s backpack along with a magazine loaded with ten rounds of ammunition.

Sedric Jackson was arrested and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
