At about 6:38 PM, on Thursday, July 28, 2022, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force arrested Stephen Gousby, 25, of Dorchester, for firearm related charges in the area of 56 Seaver Street in Roxbury. While on directed patrol, officers observed a motor vehicle with excessively dark tinted windows and a revoked registration due to canceled insurance.

Officers activated their emergency lights and sirens and conducted a traffic stop of the motor vehicle. As a result of the traffic stop, the motor vehicle would need to be towed due to being uninsured. During the motor vehicle inventory search, officers recovered a loaded firearm from a fanny pack in the vehicle. The firearm was determined to be a 9mm with one round in the chamber and nine rounds in the magazine.

Stephen Gousby was placed under arrest and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, and Operating After Revocation/Suspension.  Gousby has been arraigned in Roxbury District Court
