On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, at approximately 14:00 hours, Boston Police officers assigned to District B-3 responded to a 911 call reporting that a person was shot in the area of the 1200 block of Blue Hill Avenue.

Upon arriving on the scene, first responders immediately began canvassing the area for victims, evidence, and witnesses. They confirmed that there was one male victim with severe and life-threatening injuries who had been shot in the midsection. Boston EMTs swiftly got him into an ambulance to receive treatment at a local hospital.

Responders received reports that a possible suspect was fleeing by car toward Wildwood Street. There were supposedly three people in the car, but they were not located by police officers.

Due to the severity of the incident, the supervisor on the scene called full notifications. District B-3 officers, the Gang Unit, Tango Gold, K-9 units, B-3 Detectives, and Homicide Detectives were seen marking the scene’s evidence and closing off parts of the street for further investigation.

The victim involved is currently in a local area hospital getting treatment for his wounds. Although he survived, he remains in critical condition. Police are investigating whether this incident was gang-related, but the suspects are currently unknown.
