First responders arrived at the scene and quickly worked to put out the flames. Witnesses report that the fire was primarily on the building’s ceiling and was tearing through the structure fast.
Eventually, firefighters quelled the flames. According to sources, firefighters are still unsure if the building is salvageable, and the sushi restaurant located next to where the fire started also had some smoke damage.
