Boston Fire, State and Others Assist Medford First Responders in Possible Jumper Down Call

On Monday, September 26, 2022, at approximately 12:00 hours, Medford Police, Everett Police, Boston Fire Department, State Police, Environmental Police and others all responded to a 911 call reporting that someone had jumped off the Bridge on Cabot Road in Medford.

When first responders arrived at the scene, they immediately began searching the water and from helicopters to cover more ground. Divers thoroughly searched the river for hours with sonar and thermal cameras while police tried to confirm the details the unknown caller gave them.

After hours of air and water search attempts, responders were unable to find evidence of someone who had jumped off the bridge. Police stayed in the area for a while to confirm that the search was negative, but eventually were able to leave the scene after doing so.
