Booking Photo and Report: Officers Recover a Firearm After Shots Fired Call in Roxbury

At about 4:56 AM, on Monday, September 5, 2022, officers assigned to District B-2 (Roxbury), responded to a radio call for shots fired in the area of 30 Pompeii Street in Roxbury. The suspect, later identified as Anand Jackson, 31, of Boston, can be seen on video retrieving a firearm from his bag and pointing it towards the ground before discharging it.

Officers located the suspect in the area of Southampton Street carrying a black bag. After further investigation, officer recovered a SCCY CPX-2 9mm firearm with two loose rounds from inside of the bag. Anand Jackson was placed under arrest and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Firearm Discharge within 500 ft. of a Dwelling. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
