Booking Photo and Report: Boston Officers Arrest Dorchester Man in Possession of a Loaded Firearm

At about 5:41 PM, on Tuesday, August 23, 2022, officers assigned to the District B-2 Anti-Crime Unit (Roxbury), arrested Elijah Derosa-Hampton, 18, of Dorchester at the intersection of Roxbury Street and Washington Street in Roxbury.

Officers were patrolling the Nubian Square area as part of an on-going firearm investigation. Officers observed Derosa-Hampton, shield the front of his waistband as he fled on foot at the sight of officers. Derosa-Hampton was safely apprehended and officers recovered a loaded firearm from his waist area. The firearm was determined to be a Taurus PT11 with one round in the chamber and nine rounds in the magazine.

Elisa Derosa-Hampton was placed under arrest and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
