The information and images contained in this article may be delayed due to the FOIA and public records guidelines which allow departments and government agencies to take up-to multiple months to fulfill requests such as providing booking photos or documents. The included reports have been redacted by both BPD as well as Live Boston Staff for reasons of investigatory purpose as well as officer safety.

At about 1:15A.M., on September 14 2022, Officers assigned to District C-6 (South Boston), while on directed patrol in the area of Southampton Street, on-sited a shots fired incident and made an onsite arrest of Eddie Walker, 51, of Boston, and Torre Jenkins, 48 of Boston on drug and disorderly charges. While on directed patrol, Officers heard what they believed to be the sound of a single gunshot coming from the area of 115 Southampton Street.

Officers observed a large group of people immediately dispersing from the area, and three males engaged in a physical confrontation.  Officers then heard the sound of metal hitting the pavement and subsequently recovered a loaded .45 caliber handgun. Officers were able to take two of the males, Walker and Jenkins, into custody, while the third male fled the scene and was unable to be apprehended.

Despite a multitude of witnesses being present, no one would provide information to Officers, and they could not determine who possessed the firearm.  Eddie Walker and Torre Jenkins are expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court.  Eddie Walker is to be charged with Affray and Possession of a Class B Substance.  Torre Jenkins is expected to be charged with Affray.
