SWAT Response in Charlestown After 911 Call for a Domestic Incident Involving a Firearm

On Saturday, October 22, 2022, at approximately 05:00 hours, Boston Police officers assigned to Districts A-1 and A-15 responded to a 911 call reporting domestic violence at a home in Charlestown. The caller reported that a man known to the caller was becoming violent toward her, and the dispatcher reported that she was yelling at him to leave the house.

Upon arrival, officers confirmed that the perpetrator was still inside the house. Police also received reports that the same man allegedly assaulted a woman in Brighton before fleeing to his Charlestown Home. Negotiators were able to make contact with the man and the SWAT team surrounded the home. The subjects involve eventually cooperated with police and the swat team did not have to force entry and breach the apartment. The relationship between the two parties is currently unknown.

Police were able to confirm that no arrests have been made in this incident and at this time it is unknown if anyone involved will face charges. No further information has been provided.
