Dorchester Traffic Stop Leads to 2 Arrested for Gun POSSESSION

At 22:37 Hours, on Friday, November 4, 2022, officers assigned to the Boston Police Youth Violence Strike Force (Gang Unit) conducted a traffic stop in the area of 200 Quincy Street in Dorchester after observing a motor vehicle traveling on Columbia Road with an invalid inspection sticker and an inoperable rear brake light.

With the assistance of Troopers from the Massachusetts State Police, officers were able to successfully recover a Titan Tiger .38 Special revolver loaded with six rounds.Officers arrested a 32-year-old male identified as Daniel Washington and a 14-year-old juvenile male, both from Dorchester on firearm charges.

The adult male was arrested and charged with: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and was arraigned in Roxbury District Court. The juvenile male was arrested and charged with: Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Delinquent to Wit, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and was arraigned in Boston Juvenile Court.
