BPD Recruit Class 62-22 Celebrates Graduation from the Boston Police Academy

On Friday, November 4, 2022, at 11:00 hours, members of Boston Police Academy Recruit Class 62-22 officially graduated and were sworn in as Boston Police Officers. The ceremony was held at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center in the Seaport.

Ironically, long time anti-police and public-safety opponent Mayor Michelle Wu and her Police Commissioner Michael Cox had the honor of swearing in each recruit during the ceremony. The recruits were pinned with their badges as they officially became officers.

The new officers proudly accepted this achievement in front of each of their family members and friends. Each officer was generously applauded, as joining the oldest police department in the United States is no easy feat.

Live Boston 617 would like to congratulate each new officer as they serve to protect Boston and those who reside here. They will all continue the mission of engaging with the community and keeping each neighborhood in Boston safe.
