Booking Photo and report: Suspect in Custody in Connection to Mattapan 4th of July Shots Fired Incident Following Multi-jurisdictional Response in Tewksbury

From BPDNews: At about 5:08 PM on Monday, July 11, 2022, officers assigned to the BPD Youth Violence Strike Force in coordination with the Tewksbury Police Department and members of the NEMLEC SWAT Team arrested Ron Bell, 22, of Tewksbury at his residence on Revere Road.

At the time of his arrest, the suspect was wanted in connection to a recent shots fired incident that occurred at about 6:02 PM on July 4, 2022, in the area of 47 Edgewater Drive in Mattapan. Bell was placed under arrest by virtue of a felony warrant sought out of Dorchester District Court and will appear for arraignment on charges of Assault with Intent to Murder, Discharging a Firearm within 500 Feet of a Dwelling, Unlawful Possession of a Firearm and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition.

The suspect’s residence was secured by District B-3 Detectives pending the issuance of a search warrant.
