Man Shot on Lindsey Street in Dorchester Flees to Police Station Rather than Hospital

At approximately 22:30 hours on Sunday, November 27, a person who appeared to have been shot in the chest suddenly arrived at a the District C-11, Boston Police Station. The victim reported that he had been shot on Lindsey Street in Dorchester before arriving at the station.

The victim was stabilized and then transported to a local area hospital by Boston EMS. Sources tell us that he was shot directly in the chest and appeared to be in critical condition. His current condition is unknown and he is still in the hospital recovering.

While officers and EMTs tended to the victim at the station, officers responded to Lindsey Street where they began to canvas the area for witnesses and evidence. A crime scene was located and the area was secured. Residents who live on Lindsey Street reported hearing at least eight gunshots ring out during the time of the incident. Additionally officers located numerous spent shell casings as well as other ballistic evidence in the street.

A potential suspect description was broadcast to officers city-wide and they began searching for the suspects involved in the shooting. Eventually, Police from District B-2 and the Gang Unit stopped three possible suspects on Harrison Avenue, all of which were on scooters. The three were detained, but it is unknown if they were taken into custody. Sources also tell us Officers located at least one discarded firearm but Boston Police did not confirm at this time.
