At approximately 02:29 hours on December 11th 2022, Boston Police officers from District D-14 both responded to a 911 call reporting that a person was shot right outside of the Yas Chicken restaurant on 128 Brighton Avenue.
Police quickly arrived at the scene and located the male victim. He had been shot in his neck in an area dangerously close to his head. The severity of his injuries made Police request a push on EMS. When they arrived, Boston EMS EMTs began treating his life-threatening wounds and rushed him to a local hospital so he could receive further evaluation and treatment. He is still in the hospital, but his condition is unknown.
Due to the severity of the victim’s injuries, the supervisor on the scene immediately made full notifications. Homicide detectives were seen responding and assisting with marking evidence. There were multiple shell casings found outside the restaurant where the incident occurred. There was also a pile of broken glass and blood spatters found, which were also marked.
Police also began speaking to witnesses. According to these sources, the shooting occurred in the parking lot near the sidewalk outside the restaurant. Police received reports of the possible suspect: a tall, black male dressed in all black and possibly driving a gray Toyota Camry. The suspect was last seen fleeing down Brighton Avenue.
Responders immediately began working to track down the suspect, attempting to get a partial plate number to find the vehicle more easily. However, no arrests have been made at this time and the suspect is still at large.
