On Sunday, December 18th, 2022, at approximately 22:30 hours, Boston Police officers assigned to District A-1 responded to a 911 call at the Venu club reporting that a person had been stabbed. This was the second incident in the Theater District in just a week.

When responders arrived, there was a chaotic scene at hand. Police were met with multiple fights inside and outside of the club, which forced them to call for additional units to respond. Once these units arrived, they were able to clear out the club patrons and locate the stabbing victim.

The victim was finally located outside the club and Boston EMS EMTs began to treat him. He had reportedly been stabbed in the head and his injuries were considered life-threatening. However, he was stabilized by EMTs and urgently transported to a local hospital for further evaluation. Despite the grave nature of his wounds, he is expected to survive.

Detectives were also seen responding to the incident to assist in speaking with witnesses and marking evidence. Witnesses are unsure if the assailant was another patron at the club that night, but due to the multiple fights that broke out, they most likely fled the scene before police arrived.

Police closed off the area and spread throughout the city to continue their search. But despite their best efforts, they could not find the suspect and no arrests have been made at this time.

The investigation is still ongoing and there is no further information at this time. Police and Detectives are actively reviewing the facts of this case. Anyone with information is urged to contact A-1 Detectives at 617-343-4248.
