Body Found Inside Dorm at Emerson College, Investigation Underway per Police

On February 3, 2023, at 1000 hours, a student was found dead in their dormitory at Emerson College. Boston police officers and EMS responded to a call they received from college officials requesting immediate assistance for a medical emergency in the “Little Building”, the dorm that houses all first-year students, located at 80 Boylston St. Shortly after arriving at the scene, this quickly turned into a “death investigation”.

After remaining at the crime scene for a little over two hours, Boston Police Officer Kim Tavares, stated that “The death is not believed to be suspicious”. There is no further information about the cause of death, and Emerson College stated that they “cannot make any additional statements about the situation at this time”. While this tragic investigation is ongoing, there are no security concerns on the campus.
