Quincy, MA – Emergency crews were called to the scene of a building fire this morning at 121 Liberty Street, where the Quincy Collision and Frame Center is located. Reports of the fire came in at approximately 08:30 hours, with multiple 911 calls reporting heavy flames in the rear of the one-story commercial building.

The fire quickly spread to an adjacent building, causing significant damage to both structures. Despite the challenges posed by sub-zero temperatures causing frozen hydrants, strong wind conditions, and extreme cold, firefighters continued their attack on the intense flames, working to bring the fire under control.

However, as the fire continued to rage, firefighters were forced to evacuate the building out of fear of collapse and take an exterior approach. The owner of one of the buildings was also injured in the fire and was transported to a local hospital by EMS for treatment. The extent of their injuries is currently unknown.
