The Boston Fire Department was called to action on Friday, February 3rd at approximately 18:00 hours for a fire at a two-story construction trailer located at 45 Boston Wharf Road in the Seaport District. Despite the harsh weather conditions, including the dropping temperature and strong winds, the Jakes respond quickly to the emergency and got straight to work.

The extremely cold temperatures, nearing close to zero degrees, proved to be a challenge for firefighters as the water used to put out the fire instantly froze. As a result, firefighters’ bunker gear was soon covered in ice as they worked to contain the flames. Despite these difficulties, the firefighters were able to successfully bring the fire under control.
