Jamaica Plain – In a tragic turn of events, officers assigned to District E-13 responded to a call for a wellness check on Sunday night, only to find an adult male victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside 940 Parker Street, Jamaica Plain.
The call was made at approximately 11:34 PM on March 5, 2023, and upon arriving at the scene, officers located the victim, who was sadly pronounced deceased by Boston EMS. The victim’s identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin and autopsy.

The incident has left residents of the Jamaica Plain housing project stunned and alarmed, as gun violence has continued to plague the city, with Sunday’s shooting marking Boston’s 8th homicide for the year. Compared to this time last year there had only been one. Boston Police has launched an investigation into the incident, but as of yet, no suspects have been identified or arrested.
