Suspect Arrested Minutes After Roxbury Double Stabbing

On Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at approximately 14:00 hours, two people were stabbed by a male suspect at 189 Blue Hill Ave. Roxbury police responded to a radio call for a stabbing and were the first to arrive on the scene.

Upon arrival, police located the first victim and noticed a laceration to the neck, and started medical care immediately. As more authorities arrived at the scene, another victim was found. This victim was also suffering from a laceration to the neck. One victim had to be transported by Boston EMS to a local hospital while the other victim was treated and released at the scene.

2 witnesses who were at the scene were able to give officers a description of the suspect and point to the general direction in which they ran off in. After briefly patrolling the area, officers were able to locate the suspect who fit the description given to them. Officers were able to arrest and later identify the suspect as Ruben Lieske, 21, of Dorchester.

All victims are expected to make full recoveries, and Lieske has been placed under arrest. He is being charged with two counts of Assault and Battery by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, and resisting arrest. He is expected to be arraigned in Roxbury District Court. There is no further information at this time.
