Man shot in head expected to make full recovery – shooter still on the run

On Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at approximately 11:00 hours, a male subject was shot in the head at 98 Thetford Ave. Police stated that the shooting happened in the Dorchester neighborhood directly across from Thetford Evans Playground.

Boston Police officers from District B-3 were the first to arrive at the scene after receiving multiple 911 calls about the shooting. Upon arriving at the scene, they located one injured person, an adult male who was shot in the head. Officers quickly rendered aid to the wounded man.

The injured subject was then transported to Boston Medical Center by Boston EMS ambulance with what has been described as serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Sources tell us that the victim is expected to make a full recovery.

As for the shooter, Boston Police have not put out a suspect description of any suspects and no arrests have been made. Authorities are still actively searching for possible suspects. There is no further information at this time.
