Boston, MA – First responders from Boston Fire, Boston Police, Mass State Police, and Boston EMS rushed to the scene of a crash involving a wrong-way operator on Morrissey Boulevard in Dorchester in the early hours of March 11, 2023.
The incident occurred at around 12:30 AM when the wrong-way operator collided with another vehicle on Morrissey Boulevard. The severity of the accident resulted in at least one person being transported to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The crash caused traffic delays in the area, prompting authorities to advise motorists to avoid the area while the investigation continued.
According to officials, wrong-way driving remains one of the leading causes of deadly crashes on highways and roads, and they urge all drivers to be vigilant while on the road, especially during late-night hours.
No charges have been announced against the wrong-way operator at this time, and the crash remains under investigation by the Massachusetts state police.
