On Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at approximately 1230 hours, an active pursuit resulted in a car crash near the Tobin Bridge and the intersection of Chelsea Street and Terminal Street in Charlestown. Authorities confirmed that the suspect did have multiple warrants out for their arrest and possibly was in possession of multiple firearms.

Police were called by an employee in the Charlestown Housing Development, and when police attempted to stop the subject, he fled the scene in a vehicle. Police confirmed that officers were aware that the subject currently has a suspended license and could not legally drive. The officers followed the individual in their marked cruiser and attempted to stop him on Chelsea Street.
As officers attempted to stop the subject, he crashed his car into a guard rail on Terminal Street. The subject then fled on foot into a nearby building. After quickly searching the vehicle, a firearm was located inside the car. Fearing that the suspect was in possession of additional firearms, officers set a perimeter around the building at 200 Terminal Street and requested additional resources.

Boston Police Officers from the SWAT Team and K-9 Unit responded to the scene as well as members from the State Police. Additionally, EDTs were activated in order for the manpower to hold the perimeter around the building and search it for the subject.
Teams of SWAT and K-9 Officers searched the building from top to bottom but were unsuccessful in locating the subject after multiple hours. All that was found was a backpack on the second floor of the building that belonged to the subject, and inside it, a second firearm was located.

Yesterday, Thursday March 30th, Boston Police now confirm, after two days of investigation, the suspect was finally apprehended during the day shift. Sources within law enforcement tell us there were multiple sightings of the suspect in the area between the initial incident and apprehension. The Boston Fire Department was called, when he was first located, for a rescue, with Massachusetts State Police assisting in the apprehension.
