At about 11:07 PM, on Sunday, November 27, 2022, officers assigned to District D-4 (South End), made a firearm arrest of Everett Lightbourne-Barnes, 28, of Roxbury, after a traffic stop in the area of Harrison Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard. The body-worn camera, or BWC, of the primary officer on scene can be watched below:
While on patrol, officers observed a motor vehicle with excessively dark tinted windows traveling on Melnea Cass Boulevard towards Harrison Avenue. A CJIS query revealed that the motor vehicle registration was revoked. Our oringal article is linked here:
Officers made contact with the occupants of the vehicle and after further investigation, Lightbourne-Barnes was placed under arrest after a loaded firearm was located in his waist area. The full report can be read below:
The firearm was determined to be a Ruger 5.7 28mm loaded with twenty-one rounds of ammunition. Everett Lightbourne-Barnes was charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of a High-Capacity Firearm, and Unlawful Possession of Ammunition. He was arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
