Booking Image and Report: Two Suspects Arrested with Loaded Firearms in Roxbury

At about 7:30 PM, on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, officers assigned to the Youth Violence Strike Force, along with the Massachusetts State Police, made an onsite firearm arrest in the area of Dearborn Street and Eustis Street in Roxbury, of Mekhi Young, 18, and Terrance Porter, 20, both from Boston.

While in the area conducting an investigation, officers recovered two loaded firearms from the suspects. The firearms were determined to be a Smith & Wesson with one round in the chamber and seven rounds in the magazine and a 9mm firearm with one round in the chamber and fourteen rounds in the magazine.

Mekhi Young was arrested and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition and Trespassing. Terrance Porter was arrested and charged with; Unlawful Possession of a Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Ammunition, Possession of a Large Capacity Firearm and Trespassing.

Both suspects were arraigned in Roxbury District Court.
