On Tuesday, April 25th, Boston Police Department has identified both of the victims in the homicides. Joshua Marshall, 21, of Stoughton, was declared deceased on the scene. Reneil Miller, 23, of Hyde Park, was later pronounced deceased at Milton Hospital.
On Saturday, April 22, 2023, at approximately 21:30 hours, Police responded to a call for a person shot at 36 Dedham Street in Hyde Park.

Upon the arrival of Boston Police Officers, there was a man found inside his vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene by Boston EMS. Shortly after, officers received another call about a different victim that had walked into Milton Hospital.
The second victim was also an adult male suffering from gunshot wounds and was later pronounced deceased. Authorities believe that this incident is related to the Hyde Park incident.
