At around 8:32 PM on Sunday May 7, 2023, officers from District B-3 in Mattapan responded to a call reporting a person shot in the area of 66 Wildwood Street. Upon arrival, they found two adult male victims who had sustained apparent gunshot wounds. Both were transported to nearby hospitals, but unfortunately, one of the victims later succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased. The second victim is currently receiving care for injuries that are life-threatening.

While police were investigating the scene, two additional victims arrived at local hospitals. Victim number three was later pronounced dead due to his gunshot injuries. At this time, investigators do not believe that the third victim was connected to the scene on Wildwood Street. A fourth victim with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds was determined to have been injured in an unrelated incident in Downtown Boston.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding these incidents.
