At about 3:10 PM, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, officers assigned to District B-3 (Mattapan) arrested Carmen Perreira, 33, of Dorchester on firearm related charges.
Officers were responding to the area of 40 Glenhill Road for a radio call for a person with a gun. Officers were advised that a firearm was displayed, and the suspect was attempting to flee the area. The full report can be found below:
Officers observed the suspect attempting to flee in a motor vehicle, and was immediately stopped. Officers were able to place the suspect into handcuffs without incident. Officers were advised that the suspect no longer had the firearm in her possession.

After further investigation, officers were given the suspect’s backpack, and immediately felt the presence of a firearm. The firearm was determined to be a Smith and Wesson MOD 410.
Perreira was placed under arrest and charged with; Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon to wit Gun, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. She has been arraigned in Dorchester District Court.
