Thursday evening, May 25, 2023, members of the District A-1 Anti-Crime Unit successfully executed an on-site firearm arrest, apprehending three individuals in downtown Boston. The suspects, identified as Donnidjy Michel, 24, of Malden, Jethro Charles, 26, of Medford, and Karten Louis, 26, of Randolph, were taken into custody after being found in possession of an illegal firearm.
At approximately 8:45 PM, vigilant officers patrolling the area near 8 Kingston St noticed a vehicle with windows excessively tinted, raising suspicions. Acting on their observation, the officers initiated a routine traffic stop, signaling the driver to pull over. However, the car came to an immediate halt in a designated “No Stopping” zone, and both the driver and one passenger exited the vehicle, attempting to flee the scene.

Undeterred, the officers issued commands for the individuals to stop and return to the vehicle. After a series of instructions, the two suspects reluctantly complied and reentered the car. However, during this commotion, law enforcement officers noticed the rear passenger concealing an object.
The officers conducted a thorough investigation and soon discovered that the hidden item was a Glock 19X, a semi-automatic pistol, loaded with a magazine containing ten rounds. The discovery escalated the situation, and the officers immediately detained all three occupants of the vehicle.
