Here at @LiveBoston617, we are a small team of former and current Boston public safety professionals with a wide range of skills and experience including law enforcement, emergency medicine and firefighting. We have a passion unlike any other, and a drive to tell the stories of Boston’s first responders.
Executive Director and Co-Founder
Starting in EMS in high school, Cam continued his work in Emergency Services working in the Boston, Quincy, and Brockton areas. While working, he attended Boston University, studying emergency management. He has an extensive background in advanced prehospital medical care, incident management, crisis communications, and public relations. After sustaining an on the job injury, he began his work in operations, eventually becoming the compliance officer for a large EMS system. After leaving public service, Cam was recruited by one of the largest healthcare companies in the country to manage and grow their public safety oversight from a corporate level. Working across almost 30 different states, he transformed their system into what is in use today. He returned to Boston in late 2018 with a desire to give back to the first responder community that he began his career in, launching the change of @LiveBoston617 into the non-profit it is today.
Risk Management and Safety Officer
Matt joined our team with hopes of helping our process improvement and maximizing our operations with a focus on safety and risk management. Helping with both overseeing field contracts as well as daily Boston operations, Matt assures that all staff in the field are safe. Additionally, he has been at the forefront of our efforts to continue operations during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Director of Relations
In 2016, Katie began her clinical career as an EMT-B in Greater Boston, before graduating with bachelor’s degrees in Biology and Health Science in 2018. She would tack on experiences working PB/ALS assists, and as an ED technician and ED scribe, before pursuing a Master of Science degree at Northeastern University in Boston. She simultaneously supports all aspects of full-time care in the Trauma/Burn Surgery services at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (Level I Trauma Center). She completed her master’s degree this past year in Biomedical Sciences, and her background equips her with an incredibly broad and unique understanding of the healthcare and EMS systems we support. Her understanding of the science that governs the protocols and care delivered to patients by first responders is integral to positive outcomes. She has an ability to sense the potential barriers to care on emergency scenes, and consistently ensures public safety and privacy. Katie helps to advocate for, and protect the privacy of, the victims involved in the emergencies to which we respond and document.
Co-Founder & Senior Advisor
Justin was raised in an EMS family, and from an early age had a passion for helping the sick and injured. His mother was a Boston EMS EMT, and helping those in need was ingrained in him from an early age. As soon as Justin finished high school he immediately followed in his mother’s footsteps, training at Boston EMS and becoming an EMT himself. Justin worked for many years on an ambulance in the Boston Area and it was during this time he met Goggins and they first formed the idea that would evolve into what is this organization is today. Justin currently works as a member of the elite Trauma Team at Boston Medical Center as well as being a valued advisor @LiveBoston617.

He is a well known and respected leader in the New England area where he has been a police officer for roughly a decade. Dom is mostly known for leading the charge on numerous community and charity causes including the Pink Patch Project of Mass and the Cars and Cops Car Show of Mass just to name a few.
Kathryn joined @LiveBoston617 in early 2019 as our “Money and What-Not” or MWN Manager when due to rapid expansion it became clear that we needed a leader to help guide our financial growth and management. She attended Northeatern University where she earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration finance and accounting. While there she also was a Captain for the Track and Field Team, a recipient of the Anne Marie Murphy Award, and championed numerous fundraising efforts for Alzheimer’s research. Professionally, Kathryn has held positions in top Boston firms such as Highfields Capital and Amundi Pioneer making her perfect to champion our fundraising and fiscal management. Kathryn also is an amateur photographer, she often can be found in her spare out photographing incidents and other events around the city.
Mark joined Live Boston at the start of 2021 with the goal of increasing our advanced projects and development. With a background in EMS as well as Search & Rescue, Mark understands what it means to be on the front line. Recently, Mark has expanded into professional drone work as well as other digital forefronts, with the hope of helping Live Boston advance in these fields. In addition, he is also a skilled photographer who can be seen most weekends covering incidents in the Boston Area with our team of volunteer photographers.
Marina, a recent graduate from Endicott College has always had a passion for helping people. Her extensive experience working with mental health patients as well as her current position as an EMT in a busy South Shore 911 system show a true commitment to giving back. That is one of the many reasons she joined the @LiveBoston617 team as our Client Coordinator. In her role she works directly with many aspects of our organization including assisting with day to day administrative functions. We are lucky to have such a dedicated addition to the group.
Brian joins our team of photographers in a senior role with not just an expansive background as a photographer but also as a legend in many EMS circles. With over 20 years in EMS Brian has worked the road as well as impacted thousands of EMT students during his time running the Boston University EMS program. Radio and Telecoms Manager
Rob Doogs has been an integral member of the Live Boston family since almost the beginning. With his extensive knowledge of all things emergency services, he has been an irreplaceable resource. Some have described him as a “walking encyclopedia of radio frequencies and useless knowledge” and we would argue that it’s more useful knowledge than not. Rob oversees the majority of our radio maintenance, upfitting and other related tasks as well as always having the inside scoop on everything exciting.
Kyle joined the Live Boston team in early 2021 after speaking with some of the photographers on staff with a goal of improving his photography and making connections in public safety. Kyle is currently a firefighter in the Metro-West area outside of Boston and is passionate about all things public safety. Previously Kyle captured images on his personal accounts but we are pleased to have him join our team as our in house expert on everything fire-related.
